Cross My Art is a fun, non-threatening way to introduce other people to Jesus. New brochures with spring 2017 Cross My Art classes are now in the church narthex and the Fellowship Hall foyer. Take some brochures and pass them out freely to friends and family. Find a class that interests you and invite them to join you.
Got kids? Two of this spring’s courses are designed just for kids: “Clay for Kids” (February 11, 18, 25) and “Pop & Paint” (a kid-friendly “sip & paint” class on April 1). Kids will also enjoy “Mug Your Mom” on April 29, an opportunity for everyone to glaze a piece or two of bisqueware; we’ll fire them in our kiln and you’ll get them back in time for gift-giving on Mother’s Day. Kids under 9 are welcome to come with an adult.
Love colored glass? Three classes this spring will teach you to cut and create with colored glass: Back by popular demand is “Stained Glass, Level 1” (March 7, 14, 21), “Fused Glass Night-Lights” (April 4, 11, 18), and “Garden Stakes” (fused glass, May 20).
Enjoy painting? On art canvas, not walls, that is—come to Coffee & Canvas (March 24). Curious about Zentangle? Come learn more on March 11, 18, and 25.
Each Cross My Art class contains a Christ-centered faith lesson as well, so everyone goes home with a piece of art that carries the gospel of Jesus. As an outreach into our community, we have set up special sessions with a home school group during weekdays in February and look forward to doing more of that.
Pick up brochure at church and check us out online at www.crossmyart.com. While you’re there, sign up yourself and a friend or two. Come learn something new and spend some time in fine art.
