LifeLight—Our Winter Study “Time Between the Testaments”

Come study God’s Word and allow His light to pour into your life.  LifeLight provides a great opportunity to enrich your faith life with daily Bible study and the opportunity of joining fellow brothers and sisters in Christ in fellowship around the Word.

Our winter study for this year will begin January 11 and we will be studying the time between the Old and New Testament of the Bible. Since, this is in between the books of the Bible we will be reading the Apocryphal books, which were written in that time period and relate them to what is written in our Bibles. This will give you a fuller understanding of the setting for the Old and New Testaments and for why some Christians have the Apocryphal books in their Bibles.

To participate in this study you will need a copy of the Old Testament Apocrypha as the readings for each day will come from those sources and the questions for each day will have you relate what you read there to passages in the Old and New Testaments of the bible. If you do not have a bible with an Apocrypha there are three options: (1) You may access the readings for fee online at www.biblegateway.com or (2) you may get a Kindle edition of just the Apocrypha for $2.99 on amazon.com or (3) You can order a copy a copy of the Roman Catholic Bible which includes the Apocrypha by calling the church office and either the church will donate this to you or you may donate $5 to cover the cost.

We meet in the Fellowship Hall,      Mondays at 7pm, Tuesdays at 1pm or Wednesdays at 7pm.  The books are available in the lay office.  If you have any questions contact Kathy Brock.
