Mission Spotlight: MacKenzi Sandberg & World Race Gap Year
Every month Holy Cross sends funds of support to worthy ministries that proclaim the gospel of Christ. For the month of September, we have chosen to help support Mackenzi Sandberg, granddaughter of Harlem and Margaret Sandberg. MacKenzi is embarking on a unique mission through Adventure in Missions in their World Race Gap Year program. World Race Gap Year provides a challenging mission experience for individuals 18-20 to serve Christ in 3-4 countries over a period of 9 months. This year because of restrictions due to COVID-19, the trips have been shortened to 6-month journeys. This month, MacKenzi will going to Gainesville, Georgia for 3-months of discipleship training and then in January is scheduled to serve in 3 countries over the next 6-months. What’s really cool is that you can follow MacKenzi throughout her mission via her blog online at: https:// mackenzisandberg.theworldrace.org/ . Additionally, you can help support Adventures in Missions by clicking on the donate button on MacKenzi’s blog or by mail at: Adventures in Missions, P.O. Box 742570, Atlanta, GA 30374-2570. We at Holy Cross Lutheran Church are happy to support the mission of MacKenzi Sandberg. We encourage you to follow her online during her journey and uphold her in your prayers in her service to our Lord.
