Bible Studies at Holy Cross this Fall

In person worship is well under way at Holy Cross and we have been blessed to be together again, even if it means in a new way— abiding necessary physical distance, face coverings, and sanitation protocols. The same WA State regulations for religious organizations operating in Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 of WA SafeStart plan which apply to our worship, also apply to “religious study classes.” That means we can begin some in-person Bible study too. Our Board of Directors has felt comfortable with the way in-person worship has started and has offered our Adult Bible study groups and Confirmation the opportunity to meet in person too if they choose to do so. Parents of middle school children have received a letter from Pastor Mike about options for Confirmation. If your family didn’t get one and would like one, e-mail him at the address below. Since April we have had four Bible studies a week taking place on ZOOM and as many as forty-five individuals taking part in those studies. As with worship we will continue to offer some online Bible Studies for those who feel more comfortable engaging from the security of their own home. Our new Sunday morning schedule during COVD-19, does not offer time for Bible Study on Sunday mornings yet don’t let that keep you from studying God’s word with others from Holy Cross. Reach out to me by e-mail, mvonbehren@holycrosslcms.net and I can send you connection information for any of the following ZOOM studies:  2 Corinthians “Comfort from the Confines” Mondays at 7 PM  2 Corinthians “Comfort from the Confines” Wednesdays at 11 AM  Men’s Study “Hebrews” Thursdays at 6 AM  GLOW “God’s Light On Women” Fridays at 9:30 AM As these groups or other Bible Studies, such as LifeLight, begin to meet in-person we will make sure to announce that in Sunday’s bulletin for those who might want to participate.
